  • OS Security and

    Secure Programming

    Security refers to providing a protection system to computer system resources such as CPU, memory, disk, software programs and most importantly data/information stored in the computer system. If a computer program is run by an unauthorized user, then he/she may cause severe damage to computer or data stored in it.

  • Database Security

    Database security concerns the use of a broad range of information security controls to protect databases (potentially including the data, the database applications or stored functions, the database systems, the database servers and the associated network links) against compromises of their confidentiality, integrity and availability. It involves various types or categories of controls, such as technical, procedural/administrative and physical.

  • Web Application Security

    Web Application Security is the process of protecting websites and online services against different security threats that exploit vulnerabilities in an application’s code. Common targets for web application attacks are content management systems (e.g., WordPress), database administration tools (e.g., phpMyAdmin) and SaaS applications.

  • IoT Security

    IoT security is the technology area concerned with safeguarding connected devices and networks in the internet of things (IoT). IoT involves adding internet connectivity to a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals and/or people.

  • Mobile and Cloud Security

    Mobile security is the protection of smartphones, tablets, laptops and other portable computing devices, and the networks they connect to, from threats and vulnerabilities associated with wireless computing. Mobile security is also known as wireless security.

  • Wireless Network Security

    Wireless security is nothing but protecting computers, smartphones, tablets, laptops and other portable devices along with the networks they are connected to, from threats and vulnerabilities associated with wireless computing. This is an introductory tutorial that covers the basics of Wireless Security and how to deal with its various modules and sub-modules.

  • Cryptography

    Cryptography in Security is about constructing and analyzing protocols that prevent third parties or the public from reading private messages; various aspects in information security such as data confidentiality, data integrity, authentication, and non-repudiation are central to modern cryptography.

  • Blockchain

    A blockchain, as the name implies, is a chain of digital “blocks” that contain records of transactions. Each block is connected to all the blocks before and after it. This makes it difficult to tamper with a single record because a hacker would need to change the block containing that record as well as those linked to it to avoid detection. Unfortunately for those ambitious hackers, blockchains are decentralized and distributed across peer-to-peer networks that are continually updated and kept in sync.

  • Security Testing

    Security Testing is a type of Software Testing that uncovers vulnerabilities of the system and determines that the data and resources of the system are protected from possible intruders. It ensures that the software system and application are free from any threats or risks that can cause a loss.

    One of the greatest advancements we see today is the concept of the Internet of Things or IoT, where everyday appliances have the ability to communicate with each other over the internet. Smart Home Automation is a concept where IoT enablers are used to make everyday tasks easy to carry out. It is not only a means of easy interaction with appliances and devices but is also a natural extension of human behavior that infers the user’s intentions and performs tasks without the user’s intervention. The ability to use natural language to interact with the home network is key to realizing an easy to use and intuitive solution. In this project, we unify the seemingly fragmented landscape and demonstrate a fully scalable, platform-agnostic home automation architecture that minimizes cost allows for interoperability and is secure by design.
